I created this layout for Sketch Challenge #22 at ScrapFriends
I made the background with gesso, drywall tape, mists, Twinkling H2O’s and stamping.
I used several layers of papers, a doily and a tag to mount my picture.
A few pieces of Blue Fern Studios chipboard painted with acrylic paint, a couple flowers (the least amount of flowers I have put on a layout in a while!) some velvet flower tape I have had forever, and finally a few sequins.
I created this layout for the February Scrap Around The World Challenge. I was inspired by the beautiful color combinations from this mood board:
The background was done with gesso, texture paste through a stencil, gellatos, stamping, and mists.
I used a few layers of papers, cheesecloth, flowers, twine and some epoxy dots. And a feather dipped in glitter, which I think turned out so cool looking.
I made this layout for the White With 1 challenge. This months color is Grape.
This is my daughters college graduation. I love how even in the crowd of people we got a great smile picture.
The background was white texture paste through a stencil, random stamping, washi tape, lots of gesso, twinkling H2O’s, and Silks paint. Very messy and fun to do!
This is my kitty that appeared on our porch a few months ago. We don’t even like cats, but she was so pathetic we let her stay, and surprise – we all like her now!
I used this sketch from Prima for their February Build a Page challenge:
The background was done with acrylic paint tinted gesso, and tinted texture paste and my new Prima stencil.
Several layers of papers, and some flowers.

Last post with these pictures 🙂 I just like them so much and all of the February sketch challenges are Valentines themed, so….
This layout is for the February sketch challenge at C’est Magnifique. I used the papers and a lot of the embellishments from their kit of the month. Here is the sketch:
I distressed the background with a few edge punches and a distress tool. There is some embossing, gesso through a stencil, drywall tape, stamping and spray mist.
The kit came with lots of cute pieces for layering and pretty flowers.
Here is my layout for the Blue Fern Studio February Sketch challenge
The sketch had a valentines look to it so I used these pictures of my
daughter and her boyfriend.
I made the background by first covering most of the page with gesso.
I distressed the edges with a distress tool, some tearing and an edge punch. I then colored the background with gellatos and several colors of mist. I used texture paste and a stencil, stamping, embossing, washi tape, and some rub ons too.
Here is a close up of the texture
I colored the Blue Fern Chipboard (I love this stuff!) first with black chalk ink.
Then I painted over it with iridescent gel medium, and applied some random blotches of texture paste. Finally I splashed on some watered down acrylic paint and sprinkled distress glitter over it all. I think it gave it an interesting look.
I finished everything off with a floral cluster, some cheese cloth, a few resin pieces, a really cool looking big crystal brad and some pearls.
