Stand – Once Upon a Sketch March

I made this layout for the March challenge at Once Upon a Sketch.

This picture was taken at my daughters youth group retreat and I absolutely LOVE it.

Here is the sketch (I rotated it 90 degrees):

march 2014

The background was done with mist, paint, drywall tape, gesso, washi tape, torn strips of paper and gelatos.

Lots of layers!

I used some torn cardboard under the picture and altered it with gesso, paint and beads.  I think it added to the “grunge” feel.

  1. Lovely layout and loads of layers and textures all framing that photo. Your journalling strikes at the heart of the fear for most parents. It does give you hope. Thanks for playing along with us at OUAS this month.
