Trying something new here…. I am now very into altering things.
This is an ATB that I made for a swap at Mini Album Scraps. The theme was Steampunk.
I used Prima Cartographer paper, embossing powder, lots of Tim Holtz embellishments and several things I have had lying around in my stash for years.
I made the hot air balloon from a small light bulb that I painted then covered in lace. the bulb is attached to the little basket by Prima wire. The whole thing is attached to the box by a dowel and pillow fluff is attempting to impersonate clouds 🙂
I made this layout for the Scrap Around the World January challenge.
Here is the beautiful mood board:
I was inspired by the old fashioned look of the mood board. I liked it so much I went to my moms house and dug up some pictures of my grandmother when she was young.
For me, this is a pretty simple layout, but I didn’t want to distract from the 1920’s photos.
I made this mixed media layout for the January challenge at Berry71Blue. The theme was “Things With Wings”.
I used all sorts of things that had been sitting in my stash; some for years. I attached them with gel medium, then coated everything with gesso, then Twinkling H2O’s and then Inca gold rub. I added micro-beads here and there, and some rub ons.
Another one of my daughters selfies
I used the sketch from Sketchabilities for this layout, but flipped it as a mirror image.
7 Dots Studios Cold Country paper, Blue Fern Studios chipboard, Prima mica flakes, gelatos, stamps, glitter, sequins, and real watch parts!
Here is the layout I made for the 7 Dots Studio Warm and Cozy Challenge.
I used the Nature Walk paper for this layout, using a picture my daughter took of her boots in the fall leaves. She is in a phase of taking “artsy” selfies 🙂
I love this paper line. This layout has Winged Vines as the background and several others for the layers. I made my background with texture paste through a stencil, several mists, and ink splashes. I also used 3 of the Nature Walk tags as layers for the picture mat.
I made this layout using the Blue Fern Studio November sketch
I used Blue Fern Studios Ombre Dreams – Shannon’s Dream paper and some other scraps from the Ombre Dreams paper line. I painted the background with watercolor pencils and gelattos, This paper is so thick, it doesn’t warp from the water. I also used the Pretty As A Picture chipboard words. I painted it with gelattos and Twinkling H2O’s and added some chunky white and gold embossing powder.
It has been a while since I posted anything, but went to a 3 day crop so I have lots to add.
This layout is using the November Scrap Around the World mood board
and the sketch for the Prima BAP
I used a lot of prima flowers, butterflies and lace stencil. Also prima wire and crochet buttons.
This is my oldest, where has the time gone??? I made this layout for the May challenge at Once Upon A Sketch. As usual, my journaling is on the back. I need to work on getting it on the front 🙂
I used this mood board from Berry71Blue.
I picked the pink roses and the green as inspiration.
I made this layout for the May Ces’t Magnifique challenge using the May kit.
Here is the sketch
Here is my layout that I made using the mood board from Color Me Scrappy. I love the earth tones.
The background was done with some masking through a stencil and paint spatters. I layered some papers and also used Prima wood ATC’s for the first time.
