Girls Only

Here is a layout I did for a sketch challenge at Lets Get Sketchy.  This picture was taken of my daughter and her friends at a crop last year and I absolutely love it.

I made the background with gesso through a stencil.  Then I went over the raised parts with some Distress Paint dabbed on with a paper towel (how technical!) and then laid a second stencil over top of that and used chalk ink.  Then I finished with 2 colors of chalk ink on a stamp and some splattered paint.

This is an odd color combination for me – light blue, light green, baby pink and burgundy.  However I found some patterned paper with those exact colors so I figured it was ok if someone else also thought of it 🙂

I used bits of distressed paper with a few layers and some fussy cut flowers too.

There are bunches of flowers and some thread thrown in.
